Final Fantasy VII redefined interactive storytelling. But to target a modern western audience with the ambitious Remake release it was clear we needed to demonstrate the stunning breadth without falling back on nostalgia. 
To ensure an accessible mainstream appeal, the campaign direction harnessed digestible character rich narrative with a cinematic tone.
The targeted social campaign spoke to individual audiences in the run up to launch providing insights to refine following creative assets. This strategic approach was fused with a cinematic design language, unifying motion graphics, supers typography, and edit styles, to provide a powerfully memorable brand across all channels.  
The epic bite sized assets garnered over 6 million views across social channels to ensure the game felt accessible and compelling to a whole new range of fans. Without relying on legacy, Final Fantasy VII Remake became one of the biggest titles of 2020.
